NIMS, IISc initiate talks for AI collaboration in healthcare, focus on patient outcomes

The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS)-Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, have initiated discussions towards a long-term collaboration aimed at advancing artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare, with a focus on improving patient outcomes.

A meeting held at NIMS on Monday brought together representatives from the TANUH Foundation and the Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Healthcare at IISc. TANUH, which stands for Translational AI for Healthcare, focuses on deploying AI-driven solutions in real-world clinical settings, moving beyond conventional research into direct patient care applications.
