New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) organised a liners’ meeting in Bengaluru on Monday to facilitate interaction with shipping lines, port users, and other stakeholders, and to discuss matters related to port operations and trade facilitation.
The meeting was chaired by NMPA chairman Sushil Kumar Singh and was attended, among others, by deputy chairperson S. Shanthi; Dinesh Kumar, Director, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways; Tej Pratap Singh, Chief Freight Transportation Manager, Southern Railway; and Jerome Clement, traffic manager, NMPA.
Representatives of various shipping lines, port users, and stakeholders participated in the meeting and shared their views and suggestions. The interaction provided a platform for constructive dialogue and greater coordination among the port, shipping industry, railways, and other stakeholders.
