Over 500 candidates from BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, Diploma and Engineering streams participated in the Apprenticeship and Job Fair 2026 organised by KLE Technological University in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Education and the State Department of Technical Education at KLE Smt C.I. Munavalli Polytechnic on Thursday.
More than 25 companies, including Tata Power Solar Renewable Energy Ltd., Tata Motors, Dharwad, Ather Energy (Mobilisation Partner), Tata Electronics System Solutions, Kolar, ABS Fujitsu Gen. Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd., Mangaluru, participated in the placement drive.
Inaugurating the drive, Vice-Chancellor of KLE Technological University P.G. Tewari emphasised the value of apprenticeship training which, he said, helps in building confidence alongside vocational education that is often limited during college years.
He urged the students from North Karnataka to make the most of such opportunities.
Assistant Director of the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai, Rahul Asati highlighted that the Southern States promoted job fairs for college students to encourage proactive participation in skill development and employment.
Dileep S.N. from the Department of Technical Education called upon graduates to utilise the event to secure positions in corporate organisations.
Tata Electronics System Solutions, Kolar, also conducted on-site interviews and issued offer letters to those selected for job placements during the drive.
