Over 6,000 candidates appear for SI recruitment examination in Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari districts

Over 6,000 candidates appeared for the written examination for the post of Sub Inspector, conducted by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board, across Kanniyakumari and Thoothukudi districts.

In Thoothukudi district, the examination was conducted at four centres, including P.M.C Matriculation school and VOC College, for a total of 5,146 candidates.

Of the 5,146 candidates, comprising 3,913 men and 1,233 women, 3,584 appeared for the examination including 2,756 men and 828 women.

A.G. Babu, Inspector General of Police (Railways), who was appointed as a special officer, inspected the examination centres in Thoothukudi district. Thoothukudi Superintendent of Police (SP) was also present during the inspection.

In Kanniyakumkari district, the examination was held at three colleges for a total of 3,799 candidates. Of the 3,799 candidates, 2,476 (65%) appeared for the examination.
