Over 81,000 Ganesh idols immersed across Cyberabad in six days

More than 81,000 Ganesh idols were immersed at designated locations across the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits over the past six days, with civic authorities deploying sanitation, engineering, traffic and safety teams to manage the immersion process.

According to the consolidated immersion report, a total of 81,315 idols were immersed across 53 designated immersion points. Of these, 66,530 idols were below three feet in height, while 14,785 idols were above three feet.

Kukatpally Circle recorded the highest number of immersions with 23,501 idols, followed by Kompally with 11,526 and Serilingampally with 8,495. Jeedimetla recorded 7,145 immersions, followed by Miyapur with 6,256, Chintal with 4,408, Ameenpur with 4,274, Allwyn Colony with 4,015 and Patancheru with 3,661.

While 3,257 immersions were recorded in Nizampet, it was 3,024 in Narsingi, 2,828 in Madhapur, 1,846 in Dundigal and 1,079 in Medchal.

The CMC officials said field-level coordination was being maintained continuously at all 53 immersion points to ensure sanitation, waste clearance, access and other civic arrangements. Special attention was given for prompt removal of pooja material and other immersion-related waste to maintain cleanliness around the designated locations.

The CMC Commissioner G. Srijana directed officials and field teams to maintain continuous monitoring, ensure timely deployment of manpower and machinery, and coordinate with various line departments for the smooth conduct of the immersion process.

The civic body said it would continue monitoring arrangements at all 53 designated immersion points and take necessary measures to keep the locations clean, safe and well-managed during the immersion period.
