Pawan Kalyan extends financial aid to elderly woman, family in Ippatam

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday visited Ippatam village in Mangalagiri constituency and extended personal and financial support to an elderly woman and her family.

Pawan Kalyan went to the residence of Indla Nageswaramma, who had openly resisted house demolitions in Ippatam during the previous YSRCP regime, after villagers offered land for the Jana Sena Party (JSP) Formation Day meeting in 2022. Recalling his assurance to stand by her, the Deputy Chief Minister enquired about her health, spoke to her family members, and reassured them of continued support.

As part of the visit, he presented a sari as a Sankranti gift and handed over ₹50,000 for household expenses. He announced that ₹5,000 would be given every month from his salary towards Nageswaramma’s upkeep. He also provided ₹1 lakh to support the education of her differently-abled grandson Manoj Sai and facilitated ₹3 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the cancer treatment of her son Kondaiah.

Meanwhile, residents of Kolanukonda and Ippatam villages gave him a warm welcome. During his return, Pawan Kalyan interacted with daily wage workers, addressed local grievances, and directed officials to resolve issues related to pensions and basic infrastructure.

Legislative Council Government Whip Pidugu Hariprasad said the visit reflected Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to honouring promises and standing with people in distress.
