Perambalur Collector asks officials to expedite combined drinking water supply scheme work

About 78% of the work of a new combined drinking water supply scheme being executed in Perambalur municipal limits has been completed so far.

The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage (TWAD) Board is executing the project sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹345.78 crore.

District Collector N. Mirunalini, who inspected the progress of work in Perambalur Municipal limits and Eraiyur and Padalur Technology Park areas recently, instructed the officials to complete the works at the earliest.

Work is under way to repair the roads dug up for laying the pipelines in Perambalur town, according to an official press release.
