Police seek additional openings to improve safety on double-decker stretch

After completing the trial run by allowing vehicles to use the remaining portion of the double-decker flyover (HSR to Ragigudda), the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) have written to the BMRCL, flagging the absence of emergency response access and recommending several measures to curb possible accidents.

The BTP pointed out that, in the event of an accident or mishap on the newly opened double-decker flyover, there are no emergency routes. In addition, the BTP have also suggested both engineering and enforcement interventions to improve commuter convenience and reduce the risk of mishaps.
