Malappuram Municipality and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) jointly organised a Poshan Ma awareness rally, a mega Oppana and a nutrition exhibition on the importance of healthy food here on Saturday (September 26).
Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty inaugurated the programme. Municipal chairperson V. Rinisha presided.
The programme focused on promoting healthy eating habits and creating awareness about malnutrition among children, mothers and families.

A nutrition exhibition and competition featured dishes prepared by mothers from various anganwadis using locally available food items. The exhibition highlighted the importance of including nutritious and varied foods in daily diets.
The mega Oppana and awareness rally were also held as part of the programme, with women taking part in the events.
Municipal vice chairman Jithesh G. Anil, standing committee chairpersons Pari Abdul Majeed, Haris Amiyan, Mariyumma Shareef, Sameera Mustafa and Abida Ettuveettil, councillors, ICDS supervisors and anganwadi workers and helpers participated.
