Two individuals were arrested by the Gachibowli police after busting a prostitution racket operating from an apartment in Kondapur during a joint raid conducted on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Following a tip-off, personnel from the Gachibowli police and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit raided a flat in Sai Balaji Cubicle Apartment in Raghavendra Colony, Kondapur. During the operation, two women and three men were taken into custody.
The organisers were identified as Shaik Anwar alias Vijay, 32, a native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, and Sairigapu Gayatri, 26, both residents of the same apartment where the illegal activity was being conducted. Investigation revealed that the duo was involved in organising and facilitating prostitution from the premises.
Among the others detained were two customers, Pallapu Vamshi Krishna, 25, a system hardware technician working in Ameerpet and residing in Yousufguda, and Ponnapati Raja Reddy, 24, a private employee living in Kukatpally. A 24-year-old woman from Lingampally was identified as the victim.
The two organisers were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody on February 5. Further investigation into the case is underway.
