Raja Raja Chola’s Sathya Vizha on October 21 and 22

The 1,041st “Sathaya Vizha” organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of emperor Raja Raja Chola will be held at Sri Brahadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur on October 21 and 22, Collector R. Revathi said in a press release.

The Collector on Friday chaired a coordination meeting with officials of various departments to discuss the arrangements for the festival.

A local holiday has been declared for the district on October 22 in view of the festival. However, the District Treasury and sub-treasuries will function with limited staff on the day. All government offices and educational institutions will work on November 14 in lieu of the local holiday, Ms. Revathi said in a press release.
