With an aim to promote Telangana as a preferred global destination for investments, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy embarked on a four-day visit to Davos in Switzerland to participate in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Mr. Reddy left for Davos on Monday morning from Hyderabad after offering prayers at Medaram, the sacred abode of tribal warrior goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma, and inaugurating the revamped facilities for the historic Maha Jatara. He reached Zurich in the evening and left for Davos by road.
Minister for Industries and IT D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, special chief secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and Sanjay Kumar, and Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajit Reddy are part of the official delegation accompanying the Chief Minister. Bhongir Member of Parliament Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is in Davos, is participating in “The Meridian Collective – Subnational Commitment Charter” programme, organised by Swaniti as a part of the WEF summit. He will highlight Telangana’s policy commitments, development initiatives and governance model.
During the four-day conference beginning January 20, Mr. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to hold extensive meetings with chief executive officers of global corporations, leading investors and representatives from diverse sectors.
At the Telangana Pavilion in Davos, the Chief Minister is sheduled to hold separate interactions with the leadership of prominent companies such as Google, Salesforce, Unilever, Honeywell, L’Oréal, Novartis, Tata Group, DP World, Infosys and Cisco. He will also participate in round-table discussions with international delegates and industry leaders.
During these deliberations, the Chief Minister is expected to focus on attracting fresh investments, encouraging expansion of existing industries in the State, and positioning Telangana as a hub for high-growth sectors, including information technology, artificial intelligence and life sciences.
Officials have been instructed to showcase the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document and highlight the State’s investment-friendly ecosystem and sector-wise growth potential at the Forum.
