Sajjanar felicitates auto driver who foiled chain-snatching bid at Begum Bazaar

An auto-rickshaw driver who risked his life and foiled a chain-snatching incident in Hyderabad was honoured by Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar with a cash reward and certificate of appreciation.

The incident was reported early in the morning on March 4 near Begum Bazaar’s Jinsi Chauraha area when an habitual offender attempted to snatch a gold chain from a woman who was out on a morning walk. During the struggle, the accused lost control of his scooter and tried to flee.
