Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] central committee member E.P. Jayarajan has alleged that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan is increasingly becoming a fellow traveller of the BJP. He said a section of the Congress would also move to the BJP in Keralam.
“If this is the direction things are taking, the BJP might as well take the Chief Minister along,” Mr. Jayarajan said.
He was speaking after inaugurating a meeting at the Azhikodan Raghavan memorial at Payyambalam here on Wednesday (September 23, 2026). The memorial meeting was held as part of the 54th death anniversary observance of the former CPI(M) State secretariat member.
Mr. Jayarajan said Pinarayi Vijayan was the strength of the CPI(M), and that there was an attempt to weaken the party in Keralam by targeting the former Chief Minister. “We will resist this,” he added.
