The SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET), Dharwad, has secured a four-star rating out of five from the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Ministry of Education for its initiatives to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
The rating recognises the institution’s efforts to foster creativity, problem-solving and an entrepreneurial mindset among students. The assessment covered activities undertaken under Ministry-driven, IIC-driven and institution-led categories, a release from the college said.
The college has been providing students with opportunities to develop innovative ideas, acquire entrepreneurial skills and participate in activities aimed at translating ideas into practical solutions. SDM Educational Society Secretary Jeevandhar Kumar and SDMCET Principal I. Sridhar congratulated the college’s IIC team, led by faculty member Satish Bhairannawar, as well as the faculty, staff and students, on the achievement, the release added.
