The second edition of the Asia Interventional Complications Course concluded in Chennai. Organised by Promed Hospital, the two-day programme attracted more than 300 interventional cardiologists, clinicians, fellows and cath lab professionals from India and several international centres.
A press release said that the conference focused on advanced strategies for managing complications during coronary and structural heart interventions, including coronary perforation, acute vessel closure, and vascular access challenges. Six complex chronic total occlusion procedures on international patients were performed and transmitted live, the release added.
The event was inaugurated by Health Secretary P. Senthil Kumar and featured renowned international faculty, highlighting practical, real-world learning to improve patient safety and outcomes.
