Police arrested seven persons allegedly for ganja peddling and seized 10 kg ganja, six mobile phones and ₹3,000 from them.
On receiving information about ganja peddling in Boyanapalle village, Mannur police Inspector J. Prasad, along with his team, went to the village to nab the culprits. Noticing the approaching police vehicles, the accused tried to flee, but were caught eventually.
The accused were identified as Ranjit Kumar and Mahadev Choudhary, who work in a local dhaba and procure ganja from Bihar, and sell it to Ravella Mohan Krishna of Tirupati, M. Diya of Railway Kodur, Dasari Tarun and K. Praveen Kumar Reddy of Pullampet, and Pidugu Ajay of Rajampet.
