Development schemes, educational opportunities and measures taken to prevent crimes against women will not only improve the country’s economy but also benefit the entire humanity, Central Zone Inspector General of Police V. Balakrishnan said.
Addressing a function to celebrate International Women’s Day function at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) township in Kailasapuram on Tuesday, Mr. Balakrishnan said that women not only contribute to their families and society, but also to economic development through their education and management skills. Citing statistics on drug abuse and crimes against women, he said that in the current environment, it is boys who need proper instructions and guidance.
