Special camp for land registration under PMKISAN scheme to be held on December 19 in Virudhunagar

The district administration has appealed to 10,115 farmers in the district to register their land ownership by December 19 to get the benefits of PMKISAN scheme.

In a statement, the Collector, N.O. Sukhaputra, said that registration number of land ownership has been made mandatory for all the welfare schemes being implemented for the farmers by the State and Union Governments, including to get assistance under PMKISAN scheme.

If the farmers failed to register it immediately, they would not get the next instalment of the benefit under PMKISAN scheme, he said. Hence, they should register it through the nearest common service centre, he said.

The Collector said that 10,115 farmers who have not registered themselves should submit their land patta, Aadhar card, mobile number linked with Aadhar card to register their land without fail at the special camp to be held during the Farmers’ grievances redressal meeting to be held on December 19.
