Special camps for enrolling eligible persons whose names have been omitted from the electoral rolls is proposed to be held in Dharmapuri. According to the district administration, under the Continuous Upgradation of Electoral Roll, the District Election Officer and Electoral Registration Officers have been instructed to conduct special camps for enrolling eligible persons whose names were omitted and those of the young/first-time eligible voters.
Further, the declaration form attached to Form – 6 is applicable only during the period of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Instead, applicable forms prescribed under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 shall be used.
As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, all “left-out electors” as well as young and first-time eligible electors in Dharmapuri are called upon to make use of the ongoing process of continuous updation of electoral rolls. and submit the prescribed application for enrolment, where ever eligible.
