A special camp to enroll young voters, who have completed 18 years of age will be organised on Saturday (October 10) in all polling stations, District Collector Anand Mohan has informed.
Addressing the Election Literacy Club meeting held at the Collectorate here on Thursday, Mr. Anand Mohan said the special camp would be conducted on Saturday in all polling stations of the district to enroll all eligible voters in the electoral roll, who have completed 18 years of age as the Election Commission of India has instructed to organise this camp in all the States and the Union Territories, where the Special Intensive Revision of electoral roll had been completed.
In a first step ahead of this special camp, the Electors Registration Officers are visiting every house since Wednesday (October 7) to receive the forms for including or deleting the voters. They also accept the forms for making corrections in the names of the voters in the electoral roll.
Pursuant to this, the special camp for including all eligible voters would be conducted on Saturday in all polling stations between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Hence, all eligible voters should enroll their names by submitting Form 6 with their colour passport size photo and copies of documents showing the age and residential address of the voters.
Apart from this, the young voters can also enroll their names through the ECINET App, Mr. Anand Mohan said.
District Revenue Officer S. Vidhya was present.
