Student dies in wall collapse at govt. school in Tiruvallur

A Class VII student was killed after a wall collapsed on him at a Government High School in Kondapuram, near R.K. Pet, in Tiruvallur district.

The victim was identified as Mohit, 12, the elder son of Sarathkumar from Kondapuram area. After writing their half-yearly exam on Tuesday, the students were having lunch during the break. When they were sitting near a ramp and eating, the compound wall collapsed and fell on Mohit. He was killed on the spot.

Upon receiving information, Tiruttani Deputy Superintendent of Police (in-charge) Kandan and Tahsildar Saraswathi reached the spot and conducted an inquiry. The R.K. Pet police have registered a case in connection with the death and are investigating.
