Telangana RTC conductor allegedly assaults officials, faces action

A conductor of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) was booked for allegedly assaulting a ticket inspector in Sangareddy district. The accused also faces departmental action, according to the State Road Transport undertaking.

According to the corporation, the incident occurred around 8.30 am on Friday (May 1, 2026) near Kappad village in Jharasangam mandal on the Zaheerabad–Narayankhed route. An enforcement team led by in-charge TTI Peddadoddi Yesaiah and TTI V Prakash found that the conductor, Devsoth Vasanth, had allegedly collected ₹20 from a passenger without issuing a ticket.
