Three persons died in separate accidents in Salem and Krishnagiri districts on Wednesday (December 17, 2025).
The deceased was identified as G. Vimalraj (23), a resident of Vellankarai in Cuddalore district, who was working as a bouncer in Puducherry. In the early hours of Wednesday, he, along with his friend Kalaiyarasi (30), headed to Yercaud on a two-wheeler. As they reached Minnampalli, he lost control of the vehicle and hit the sidewall of the road. In an impact, the duo sustained grievous injuries. Vimalraj died on the spot and Kalaiyarasi was admitted at Salem Government Hospital. The Karipatti police registered a case and are investigating further.
In another accident, I. Varun (23), a native of Chattisgarh, was studying in his third-year of MBBS in a medical college in Bengaluru. He, along with his friend K. Sispal Singh (20), a native of Rajasthan, headed to Hogenakkal on a two-wheeler on Tuesday (December 16, 2025) midnight. While they reached the Denkanikottai TNSTC depot, they lost control of the vehicle and toppled on the roadside. In the accident, the duo sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. The Denkanikottai police registered a case and are investigating.
