On the eve of the 57th death anniversary of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader and former Chief Minister Annadurai, a huge crowd thronged the Anna memorial at Marina Beach on Tuesday (February 3, 2026).
The Traffic police, temporarily halted traffic on the stretch on Kamarajar Road from Kannagi statue to Wallajah Road to facilitate DMK leader and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and other Ministers to pay floral tributes in the morning. They diverted traffic through Bharathi Salai, Victoria Hostel Road and Sivananda Salai, for traffic coming from Santhome and proceeding towards War Memorial.
A senior official of the City Traffic police said the traffic arrangements has been made for the CM to pay the floral tributes and it was only for 30 minutes from 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Normal traffic will resume after the event.
