Train services diverted for track maintenance

To facilitate the engineering works for the maintenance of points and crossings are under way at the Peelamedu and Coimbatore North railway yards, the Railways has announced diversion of select train services over the coming days.

Train No. 16159 Chennai Egmore–Mangalore Express will run via Irugur–Podanur, skipping stops at Peelamedu, Coimbatore North and Coimbatore Junction on February 11. Train No. 22504 Dibrugarh–Kanniyakumari Vivek Express will also be diverted through Irugur–Podanur, bypassing Coimbatore Junction on February 11. It will halt at Podanur Junction from 10.47 a.m. to 10.50 a.m.

Train No. 13352 Alappuzha–Dhanbad Express will run via Podanur–Irugur, skipping Coimbatore Junction, on February 11 and 14 with an alternative halt at Podanur from 12.15 p.m. to 12.20 p.m.
