Two boys aged 17 and 16 were killed in a road accident involving a scooter and a private bus on the Thuraiyur-Thammampatti state highway near Okkarai in Tiruchi district in the late hours on Saturday.
The police gave the names of the victims as S. Kavin of Koothathur and S. Yogeswaran of Sikkathambur.
The boys were riding the scooter when it collided head on with the bus. The two boys were killed on the spot. The bodies were sent to the Thuraiyur Government Hospital and handed over to their respective families after autopsy. The bus driver has been named as the accused.
