A two-day special camp for the inclusion, correction and deletion of names in the draft electoral roll will be held on January 3 and 4 across the district.

In a release, District Election Officer and Collector S. Kandasamy said that persons whose names do not figure in the draft electoral roll can apply for inclusion by submitting Form–6 along with a declaration form and attaching any one of the 13 supporting documents notified by the Election Commission of India. Eligible citizens who will complete 18 years of age as on January 1, 2026, are also entitled to apply for enrolment using Form–6.

Applications for deletion of names can be submitted through Form–7, while Form–8 can be used for correction of name, change of address, linking of mobile number, change of photograph and change of polling part in the electoral roll.

As part of the first phase of the revision exercise, special camps were conducted on December 27 and 28. A total of 30,051 applications were received during these camps, including 22,626 Form–6 applications, 423 Form–7 applications and 7,002 Form–8 applications.

In the second phase, special camps will be organised at all 2,379 polling stations across the eight Assembly constituencies in the district on January 3 and 4.

During the camps, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and polling station-level officials will be present at the respective polling stations along with the draft electoral rolls. Adequate number of application forms have been made available, and completed forms may be submitted directly to the BLOs.

Citizens may also apply online through Voters.eci.gov.in or via the Voter Helpline mobile application. To verify whether their names are included in the electoral roll, voters can send an SMS to 1950, visit https://voter.eci.gov.in, or contact the concerned BLO. The public has been urged to make full use of this opportunity and ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll.
