California-headquartered wealth management firm LPL Financial Holdings on Wednesday announced the opening of its global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad.
The city was selected for its deep talent pool in financial services, strong infrastructure and business continuity advantages. Over the next 3-5 years, LPL Financial expects to create hundreds of roles at the new facility to support technology, operations, product development, data and analytics and risk management. “The GCC will leverage the impressive talent in Hyderabad, enabling us to build integrated teams focused on creating next-gen technology that sets a new standard in financial services,” chief technology and information officer Greg Gates said.
The GCC is seeking talented individuals to join the team that includes skilled engineers and technologists across network security, core infrastructure, AI engineering, data platforms, middleware and software development, the Nasdaq-listed Fortune 500 firm said, also announcing appointment of Ramesh Kaza as head of the new operation.
As executive vice-president, head of country, Mr.Kaza joins the GCC from State Street, where he was chief information officer for India. Prior to that, he was with Bank of America, Fidelity Investments and GE Capital. In addition to his professional experience, he is an active community leader and served as United Way of Hyderabad chairperson during COVID. In 2023, he was appointed secretary general of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council as part of which he works with Cyberabad Police and industry leaders on enhancing safety and security across the Cyberabad jurisdiction.
LPL Financial Holdings supports more than 32,000 financial advisors and the wealth management practices of about 1,200 financial institutions, managing $2.4 trillion on behalf of roughly 8 million people.
