Vast opportunities for content writing in digital era, says VSU V-C

Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasa Rao said that the advent of the digital era augurs well for content writers as they will have vast and diverse opportunities.

He was speaking after launching the 12-day special certificate course offered by English department titled ‘Creating writing and professional content development’, here on Tuesday.

“The course is designed to enhance the students’ skills. Hence they are advised not to confine to textbooks, but sharpen their creative abilities through such skill-oriented programmes,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao said.

In his keynote address, international poet and SAARC Literature Award recipient Perugu Ramakrishna said there was no need to fear artificial intelligence (AI). “Our future lies in working alongside it. Human emotions such as a mother’s love, tears and solitude can never be fully replicated by machines,” he said, adding that human creativity would always remain supreme.

Registrar K. Suneetha called the course highly beneficial for learning various writing styles such as academic writing, media content, and for digital platforms.

The course covers content development, editing and blog writing and professional writing tools.
