Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 118.90 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 186 cusecs and a discharge of 667 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 41.40 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 447 cusecs and a discharge of 86 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,403.44 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was (in mm): Marudhanadhi dam 32.2, Manjalar dam 3, Elumalai 2.5, Shanmuganadhi dam 1, Gudalur and Vaigai dam 0.6 each and Sothupparai dam 0.2.
