Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 125.50 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 137 cusecs and a discharge of 1,000 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 47.11 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 724 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 5,034.41 mcft. Rainfall recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was (in mm): Kodaikanal 2.2, Melur 1.2, Madurai 1, Sothupparai dam 0.6 and Elumalai 0.4.
