West Bengal SIR draft electoral roll: How to check your name in voter list

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published the updated draft electoral rolls on Tuesday (December 16, 2025), shortly after uploading the list of voters whose names were deleted under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

The names of more than 58 lakh voters have been deleted on various grounds, including death, migration and non-submission of enumeration forms.

After these deletions, the State’s draft electoral rolls are expected to carry the names of 7,08,16,631 voters, 58,20,898 fewer than 7,66,37,529, which was the electorate before SIR, according to official data.

The draft that had undergone the SIR exercise will be available both online and offline, according to the Commission.

With the Assembly elections due next year, this has marked the beginning of the anticipated electoral process.

How to find your name in the voter list?

The draft electoral rolls can be accessed through the ECI portal eci.gov.in, or through the official website of the Bengal Chief Electoral Officer ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in by entering your name or EPIC number. The details of the voter will appear on the website.

In case you’re unable to access the electoral rolls, you can verify your name with the Block Development Office or contact your respective BLOs. You can also approach Booth Level Assistants (BLAs) from the political parties for assistance.

What to do if your name is not on the list?

The ECI has also revised the list of voters exempted from this year’s electoral rolls, stating the reason for their deletion. These are voters whose names appeared on the electoral rolls for the 2025 elections but were excluded for 2026. You can see your name on the official website ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/asd_sir by just entering your Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number, or your respective State or Assembly constituency.

If your name is missing:

1. Fill and submit Form 6, along with Annexure-IV

2. Submit the form to your Booth Level Officer (BLO)

Form 6 can also be applied online in ECI’s website or via ECINET app.

The claims and objection window is available from the date of publishing the draft roll to January 15, 2026.
