Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (May 4, 2026) said there are National Democratic Alliance-led (NDA) governments in more than 20 States and the “‘lotus’ is blooming from Gangotri to Gangasagar”. He was addressing the BJP workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi on the day of the Assembly election results in four States and one Union Territory (UT) — West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry.
The address comes after a big day for the BJP politically, especially with its victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry. The party also won three Assembly seats in Kerala. PM Modi said it was a special day in many ways as it heralds a bright future for the country.
