A 26-year-old woman who was riding pillion on a scooter was killed, when a private city bus hit the rear portion of the scooter near Nanthoor bus stand in the city on Wednesday evening.
Police gave the name of the deceased as Deepti. One Kishore (32) who was riding the scooter was injured in the accident which happened at 7.45 p.m. The woman who fell came under the front wheel of the private bus, and was admitted to a private hospital where she died. Mr. Kishore was riding the scooter from Ballalbagh to Vamanjoor.
Police have registered a case in this connection.
