A 29-year-old woman was killed by her husband following an argument in Bagh Lingampally on Sunday morning.
The deceased, Tejaswi, was attacked by her husband Narender, 34, at around 11.20 a.m. near a jewellery shop, an officer from Chikkadpally police station said.
During an argument between the couple, Narender allegedly attacked Tejaswi with a pestle, causing severe injuries to her head. She collapsed at the spot following heavy bleeding.
Chikkadpally police rushed to the scene after receiving information and found Tejaswi dead. Narender allegedly fled following the attack and police have launched a search for him. The exact circumstances leading to the argument and the motive behind the killing are being investigated.
