Landslip at Marenahalli on NH 75, vehicles diverted

Following landslips at Marenahalli on National Highway 75, near Sakaleshpur, Hassan Deputy Commissioner K.S. Lathakumari has ordered the diversion of traffic on Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway.

The DC said that the vehicles heading towards Mangaluru from Hassan can take the alternative Belur-Charmadi-Mangaluru route. Similarly, those from Mangaluru can take Sampaje – Charmadi Ghat – Belur route.

There have been multiple incidents of landslips along NH-75 that connects Bengaluru and Mangaluru cities. DC Lathakumari inspected the landslip sites on Wednesday.

Following landslips near Heggadde, Doddathappale village on NH-75, many vehicles including KSRTC buses are stranded on the highway. Hundreds of passengers have been stuck for several hours.
