Bomb hoax at Collectorate and Corporation office in Tiruchi

An anonymous email threatening that bombs will go off at the Collectorate complex and Corporation Office in Tiruchi was received on Wednesday.

Police sources said an email was sent to the offices in the afternoon threatening that the bomb would go off in the evening. Acting on an alert, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad conducted a thorough search on both the premises. No explosives were found, and the threat turned out to be a hoax. A probe is underway to trace the sender of the email.
