After intermittent rain over the past four days, sun shone bright over Hyderabad on Thursday (August 21, 2025) morning bringing relief from damp conditions. Rain was not recorded in any part of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC) limits from 8.30 a.m. to noon, according to the data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).
However, India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its local forecast for the city has stated that light rain or thundershowers are likely on Thursday.
Some parts of the GHMC received rain on Wednesday. Till Thursday morning (8.30 a.m.), the highest rainfall was recorded in Secunderabad (8.6 mm).
