Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders have filed a complaint with the Banjara Hills police against the management of YouTube channel iDream Media, its anchor Soumya Reddy, and advocate Arun Kumar, accusing them of spreading false and defamatory content targeting party president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in connection with the ongoing phone tapping case.
In their complaint, BRS leaders Chada Kishan Reddy, Vasudeva Reddy, Bommera Ramamurthy, Gandhi Naik and others alleged that Mr. Arun Kumar made unsubstantiated and misleading claims during an interview aired on the channel on June 25. They further said that the anchor and the channel had irresponsibly aired the video without verifying the credibility of the statements made.
Describing the interview as a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of both Mr. Rao and the party, the complainants demanded that appropriate legal action be taken against those involved.
