The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) completed planned maintenance work on the Purple Line ahead of schedule on Sunday morning, ensuring that normal services resumed without delay, according to BMRCL officials.

The essential maintenance was carried out between Swami Vivekananda Road and Baiyappanahalli Metro Stations.

While the work was initially scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., BMRCL engineers completed it by 5.55 a.m., nearly an hour early. “After successful train testing, regular operations began as per the timetable from 7 a.m.,” a BMRCL release stated.
