The city police on Thursday, July 10, destroyed narcotics seized in 23 cases by nine police stations at the Kolnad Industrial Area in Mulky.

The destroyed contraband included 21.32 kg cannabis and 60 g MDMA that were incinerated at Re Sustainability Healthcare Solutions Ltd., after obtaining permissions from courts concerned, the police said.

Waging war against substance abuse, the city police have so far registered 40 cases and arrested 67 persons since January 2025. As much as 145.32 kg cannabis, 319.97 g MDMA, 13 gm MDMA pills, 756.52 g hydro-weed cannabis and other narcotic drugs worth ₹1.36 crore were siezed during the period.

The city police had destroyed 335.46 kg cannabis, 7.64 kg MDMA, and 16 g cocaine, together worth ₹6.8 crore on January 15, 2025.
