The Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, in association with the Asia Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma Society (APOTS), has organised the “7th Retina Summit and APOTS Retina Meet 2025” from July 10 to 12.
According to a press release, the scientific conference, which runs on the theme of “Posterior Segment Trauma”, has brought together a panel of international and national faculty to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and innovations in managing ocular trauma, which is a leading cause of visual disability worldwide.
A team of consultants from Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Vitreoretinal Services, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai has organised the summit. Gangadhara Sundar, president of APOTS and Rajiv Raman, scientific chair, APOTS emphasised the importance of evidence-based approaches and inter-speciality collaboration to tackle the global burden of ophthalmic trauma. The summit also features pre-conference workshops and interactive case-based crosstalks, the release said.
