Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and his wife Sudha Dev Varma visited the historic Sri Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad and offered special prayers as part of Ashadamasam Bonalu celebrations.
The Governor was received by BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar along with the temple priests. The Governor couple offered bonam and silk clothes to Goddess Sri Mahankali on the occasion and offered prayers. He later interacted with the temple priests to know the history of the temple.
The main Bonalu celebrations at Sri Ujjaini Mahankali temple would be conducted on July 13 and 14, the Minister said.
