Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) vice-president D.N. Rao and Chancellor G.S.N. Raju on Saturday hailed the Andhra Pradesh government’s initiative to develop a Quantum Valley in the Amaravati region, along with the establishment of new IT companies in Visakhapatnam, as a significant step towards enhancing employment opportunities for students in the near future.
Addressing a press conference at the university’s Vizianagaram campus, Mr. Rao said CUTM had partnered with several top software firms and industries to offer skill-based education and domain-specific placements for nearly 2,000 students enrolled in various courses at the university.
“CUTM has tied up with around 150 reputed companies to ensure quality education and improved job prospects for students. We have introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all subjects and revised the curriculum accordingly. These steps, coupled with the State’s focus on quantum computing and AI, will help our students secure jobs quickly, both in Andhra Pradesh and other States,” he said.
Chancellor G.S.N. Raju noted that CUTM had emerged as India’s first premier skill university, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure and practical learning aimed at aligning students’ capabilities with industry requirements.
“The Choice Based Credit System and focus on acquiring unique, job-ready skills have resulted in high success and employability rates among our students,” he said.
University Vice-Chancellor P.K. Mohanty was also present at the press conference.
