A total of 45,961 candidates appeared for the Group-IV examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) in Tiruchi district on Saturday.
The examination was held to recruit candidates for various posts, including village administrative officers, junior assistants, typists, and forest guards. Of the 55,456 candidates who were issued admit cards, 45,961 candidates (82.88%) appeared for the exam while 6,495 (17.12%) were absent.
The exam was held across the district in Lalgudi, Manachanallur, Manaparai, Marungapuri, Musiri, Srirangam, Thottiyam, Thuraiyur, Tiruverumbur, Tiruchi West, and East.
