Under the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ programme, 217 camps are to be conducted, informed Ramanathapuram District Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon.

During a press meet here on Saturday, he said that following the inauguration of the programme by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in Cuddalore on July 15, it would be started in four municipalities, 11 panchayat unions and seven town panchayats through 217 camps in Ramanathapuram district.

Every five wards in municipalities would have one camp, every two town panchayats would have one camp and in village panchayats, camp for every 10,000 people would be set up, he added.

As 1,745 volunteers were already deployed to carry out a door-to-door campaign, the public could make use of them to learn about the details of the camp and what grievances could be taken to the camps.

Also, he has directed the staff to place the details regarding the camp at important spots like hospitals, bus stands, markets, etc

In village areas, 43 services pertaining to 13 government departments and in town areas 46 services pertaining to 15 government departments would be available to the public.

Mr. Simranjeet Singh Kahlon said instructions were given to resolve the petitions submitted by the public within 45 days.
