Modernise vegetable, flower, fruit markets: CM to officials

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday instructed officials to modernise the operations of the city’s fruit, vegetable and flower markets. In a meeting with senior officials, Ms. Gupta raised concerns about the poor state of sanitation, waste management, road infrastructure, market safety, drainage and drinking water supply in these markets, the Chief Minister’s Office said in a statement. Ms. Gupta assured that there would be no shortage of budget for the maintenance of these markets.
