Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Wednesday asserted that only a coalition government led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would come to power in Tamil Nadu in the 2026 Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters in Tiruchi, where he was attending various events, Mr. Dhinakaran dismissed AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswamiâs recent remarks that the AIADMK was not inclined towards forming a coalition government. ââAll parties in the NDA coalition would be given representation in the Cabinet, as was done at the national level in 2014, even though the BJP secured a majority on its own.â he said.
On being asked about who would be the Chief Ministerial candidate, Mr. Dhinakaran said, âThat is a decision to be taken by Union Minister Amit Shah.â
