Kurtakoti’s book on Bendre’s works to be released tomorrow

A collection of renowned critic Keertinath Kurtakoti’s writings on Jnanpith award winner Da Ra Bendre’s works titled Vagartha will be released in Dharwad on Sunday.

The book has been published by Manohara Grantha Mala of Dharwad and it will be released at a function to be held at Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bhavan at 4 p.m..

The book release function coincides with the 50th year of Bendre’s poetry collection Nakuthanthi receiving Jnanpith award and also the 60th year of the publication of Nakuthanthi, the release said.

Another book, Courtesy of Criticism, a translation of Kurtakoti’s selected articles by Kamalakar Bhat, will also be released on the occasion.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism H.K. Patil will be the chief guest at the function.
